The Get Out Pass – An Activity Pass Worth Getting

Every year for Christmas, I decide that I want to focus more on experiences as gifts and less on “things,” as if it’s the first year I’ve decided that. Mr. Ray likes to remind me that I say it every year. And I do.

This year for our big “experiences” gift, we bought a Get Out Pass for everyone in the family. What is this pass, you may ask? Well, I’ll tell you.

The Get Out Pass is a kind of membership pass that gets you into all sorts of venues, from bowling to escape rooms, to bounce houses, to golfing, to skiing, even concerts, and more. Each venue gets to decide what the terms are for themselves, so while one place may let you bowl every week for free, another might let you rock climb once per month, or visit once a year.

The Get Out Pass is available in several different states (Utah, Colorado, Washington, and Idaho), and each state has its own pass with its own venues. They are often adding new venues, and if you have a pass when the venue is added, you get that venue too!

The biggest draw on the Utah pass is a free day at Lagoon, but there are so many more awesome options as well!

We originally bought the passes with Lagoon and Cowabunga Bay in mind, but we have used them so much, just since January. For our spring break trip to St George, Ut, we actually only paid for food and lodging and a $5 Tuesday movie. Everything else we did was free because of our Get Out Passes and the State Parks pass we checked out from our local library.

We’ve gone bowling, and rock climbing, visited bounce houses and escape rooms, trampoline parks and more.

Our favorites have been the escape rooms. There are several different escape room options on the pass, each letting you visit once per year and we have loved them. We wish there were even more!

So while, yes, we’re looking forward to that trip to Lagoon and splashing away in Cowabunga Bay come warmer weather, we’re definitely getting our money’s worth out of these passes all year long!

If you want to get your own pass, follow this link.  If you want to use a referral code and get $30 off your pass (and which will give us a small credit toward purchasing new passes next year), you can use: ray1

Aside from that there referral code, we’re getting nothing out of this post aside from the satisfaction of knowing we’ve passed on some family fun for you and yours. Enjoy!

Do you have a Get Out Pass? Where is your favorite venue? Tell us in the comments!
